On Wednesday 1st October BUSA competed valiantly for the ‘Performance Sailcraft’ Trophy, the fourth and final of the Allstar matches, in Lasers. Pitted against some strong opposition, Andy Cornah, Andy Bryson and Ali Hall’s supererior starting strategy could not save them from the better boat handling and speed of the Americans in a fickle 2-5 knot breeze at Mystic Lake, Tufts.
The loss puts BUSA’s overall score at 2-2, a tie that accurately reflects both the strength in depth of our ICSA opposition and true British resolve in the face of adversity to retain the Tour Title won in the UK in 2001.
The team is currently trying to discover the whereabouts of their plane tickets and passports in time for a 1920 departure from Logan Airport, Boston.
