The Calendar includes all BUCS-BUSA sailing events, relevant RYA and other events (including international) and programmes in which student sailors and teams regularly compete or participate (e.g. Keelboat Squad). The Calendar carries all university events hosted by BUSA Member Clubs (USCs) that are notified to us (inclusion is discretionary, but no other events are listed on the first weekend of November, which is reserved for the BUCS-BUSA Fleet Championships). Events for inclusion should be notified to the BUSA Editor or by using the Contact Form.
Brunel Sailing Club is delighted to announce that our team racing event is being prepared by the club. We are getting ready to, once again, bring you a great weekend of racing in the coming 2018, so start to save the dates!
The racing will be done in Fireflies, and it will take place at Datchet Water Sailing Club on the Queen Mother Reservoir. It's a 15min drive from Brunel University, or 30min to 1hr from Central London.

ENTRIES are: £250 for a first team and £150 for any subsequent teams. Damage deposits will be a flat £200 per team.

Southampton University‘s Wessex Sailing Club hosts the 2018 Wessex Winter Warmer at Spinnaker Sailing Club.
We will have 18 teams, 4 flights of boats, 2 days of competitive sailing and 2 great socials!

"The Warwick Turtle will take place on January 25th-27th, the weekend before midlands qualifiers, which means it’ll be a great chance to hone your skills.
"There will be 3 flights of boats, and up to 21 teams will be allowed to enter. Entry is £280, and all teams must be entered by January 1st.
"Friday. Socials will take place on both the Friday (after registration - 19:00-22:00) and the Saturday, and will include a night out in Neon and a BYOB curry, followed by Luvbug.
These four "Area" Qualifiers are organised by BUSAs Area Reps. Full details will be made available on the 2018 BUCS Team Racing Championship page in due course. In the meantime, venues when decided will be notified here.
"The University of Nottingham Sailing Club invites you back for another year of the Nottingham Snakebite! As always it's due to be a big one, with a great weekend of team racing lined up and some massive socials, including Ocean on Friday night.
"With four flights of boats this year, there will be space for 24 teams. It's first come, first served, so get your entries in! The entry fee will be £290 before the 25th December at which point entry will rise to £300. Social tickets can be purchased at registration on Friday night and will cost £17 per person.

Top Gun is an annual event hosted by Oxford University Yacht Club involving an intensive 2 days, where the top 8 university teams battle it out on Farmoor Reservoir.

Imperial College Sailing Club hosts the Imperial Icicle at Wembley Sailing Club.
"With three flights and eighteen teams, the Imperial Icicle will be back in 2018 to follow up the inaugural event from last year!
"There will be two full days of racing sandwiched by a classic Saturday social, cheesy music and (rare) cheap drinks in London.
"Any teams arriving on the Friday are welcome to join us for a boozy welcome social in our Union to experience life as we know it in the Imperial nightclub, METRIC!!!
"The social tickets will include lunch plus entry for both the Friday and Saturday socials.

Cambridge University Cruising Club's annual team racing event offers top-level competition, in some of the best boats, at one of the UKs premier clubs.
The Cam Cup is run over two days at Grafham Water SC in four flights of boats.
The event is accompanied by an unmissable black-tie dinner. which is traditionally followed by dancing in Cambridge's finest Ladies' and Gentlemen's club.
Applications are welcome from university, open and school teams.
